LootFeed — human–AI collaboration and provenance
Attribution must follow evidence
The initial Octo Loot design and its evolution into LootFeed are part of Babuni.dev's creative portfolio. The project idea—short, interactive loot messages with low UI clutter—cannot be attributed retroactively to an assistant whose documented role in this session was to inspect and describe the repository.
Dated commits reveal the feature progression and a real technical correction about group-roll completion. They do not reveal exactly which person or AI generated earlier Lua source lines, nor every original user request or rejected alternative. Avoid inventing that dialogue.
October 26, 2026 AI assistance
In this session the assistant:
- Confirmed
babunidev/LootFeedas repository #20 in the current sequential audit. - Read the current README, existing docs, two Lua sources, TOC, migration helper, PowerShell test and three screenshot file entries.
- Inspected September commits: initial Octo Loot 0.1.5, roll addition 0.2.0, local-prompt correction 0.2.1 and provider-neutral rename 0.2.2.
- Verified published v0.2.2 GitHub release metadata, including the ZIP and SHA256SUMS assets; repaired README's stale-owner download URL.
- Explained the separation between ordinary five-row caps and extra roll records; roll ambiguity, provisional timeouts, late chat, CVar/chat-handler side effects, and account-wide setting migration.
- Created or revised eleven Markdown files and verified their links while leaving all runtime code, scripts, tests and images unchanged.
This was editorial, research and documentation work. It is not an in-game test, reproduction of a bug, new gameplay feature, original-concept invention, or independent archive checksum verification.
Future collaboration standard
For every substantial iteration preserve:
- User direction: Babuni.dev's desired player feeling, functionality and constraints.
- AI contribution: the actual suggestion/design/code/test or documentation, identified separately.
- Creative iteration: considered approaches, mistakes, misunderstandings and corrections, including rejected alternatives.
- Creator decision: explicit approval, rejection or postponement; never infer approval from a proposed roadmap.
- Implementation: exact files/commits, any migration effects.
- Verification: actual environment, commands, observed results and unresolved cases.
The publishable journal should be a truthful narrative, not pasted private chats. Keep genuine player names, group-loot conversations, account paths or credentials out of public examples; use the existing fictional testroll characters when a demonstration suffices.
No Lua, TOC, migration script, tests or image assets were edited in the October 26 docs-only pass.
