Development Roadmap
Current status — 2026-10-29
Babuni.dev acceptance: Milestones 1–4 are complete for the present design. Babuni.dev reports thorough physical testing on two devices, responsive checks on phone/laptop/wide desktop, satisfying keyboard and reduced-motion alternatives, working hover/tap/ambient topics, fullscreen/viewer use, and many-hour sessions. The current neutral stone tiles and striking portals are the accepted visual direction. These are human observations, not new AI device tests or a guarantee against future regressions. Performance can be reviewed again later.
Milestone 5's content pipeline is substantially implemented. Editorial review is ongoing work, not a blocker requiring every project to be finished. Babuni.dev explicitly authorizes publishing all 42 current catalog projects and their existing public-source documentation (2026-10-29). A future owner visibility toggle and optional preview deployments remain enhancements, not blockers for this approved collection. MDX is optional and deferred; current Markdown, image and video modules are sufficient.
Release priorities: readable project/module URLs, metadata, sitemap, crawler rules and on-demand project content are now implemented. A separate Nginx gzip/cache configuration is prepared. Next: review and install the new site on the VPS on the agreed weekend, configure DNS/HTTPS without disturbing Arcanite Brothers, then measure real production loading and submit the sitemap. Deployment has not been performed.
The checklist below reflects this acceptance. Dated notes after the checklist are historical; their earlier pending checks and superseded designs are not the current status.
Milestone 0 — Repository and documentation
- Create public GitHub repository babunidev/babuni.dev.
- Clone repository locally.
- Install Node.js and npm locally; Astro starter runs at localhost:4321 (reported by Babuni.dev).
- Commit and push Astro foundation to main (merge commit
5902121, verified on GitHub). - Prepare initial project documentation baseline and publish it to main.
- Reconcile and retain project agent rules and Astro guidance in AGENTS.md.
- Record Babuni.dev's preference to work directly on main.
- Activate babuni.dev ChatGPT project instructions (confirmed available in this ChatGPT project).
Milestone 0 status: Complete. Astro foundation, documentation, main-only workflow, and active ChatGPT project instructions are established.
Milestone 1 — Mechanically correct grid
- Decide initial tile sizing and center-first responsive visible-cell formula (Babuni.dev-approved approximate scale; unit-tested).
- Implement temporary representative tiles (not final stone assets or real projects).
- Implement pointer-event mouse/touch dragging, spatial keyboard highlight/activation, and reset (desktop pointer tested, physical touch accepted by Babuni.dev, 2026-10-29).
- Implement bounded DOM tile recycling, keeping stable logical coordinates (unit tested and browser preview checked).
- Prototype clockwise spiral-first project assignment with visibility-aware source identity recycling; fill the viewport by repeating the original project library when necessary. Ten pure-placement tests passed in isolation.
- Babuni.dev visually approved the initial 45-project spiral on desktop, describing the result as looking fantastic (2026-10-26).
- Verify project uniqueness and stable identity during extended panning and ongoing shifts: accepted by Babuni.dev after thorough physical testing on two devices (2026-10-29); future regression/performance review remains possible.
Babuni.dev's first desktop acceptance test (2026-10-26): Local Astro 7.4.2 server returned the page successfully. On Babuni.dev's desktop, the centered BABUNI.DEV tile appeared correctly, mouse dragging felt smooth and appropriately paced, and the grid could be dragged indefinitely without encountering an edge. This was the initial desktop-only evidence. The later physical-device acceptance above supersedes its outstanding checks.
- Responsive coverage on phone, laptop and wide desktop accepted by Babuni.dev (2026-10-29).
- Prototype slow one-cell row/column shifts with testable seeded dice rounds (current timing/interaction feel accepted by Babuni.dev).
- Pause an active autonomous shift while dragging, resume afterward and defer new rounds while dragging. Bloom-specific conflict handling awaits bloom implementation.
- Keyboard and reduced-motion alternatives accepted by Babuni.dev (2026-10-29); keyboard navigation described as satisfying.
Movement refinement (2026-10-26): Babuni.dev requested smooth, slower arrow-key navigation; brief acceleration and an adjustable speed ceiling for mouse/touch dragging; and no two simultaneously shifting rows moving in the same direction. A matching restriction on columns is an AI-proposed extension, awaiting Babuni.dev review. Initial controller and directional shift cap are implemented and tested in an isolated preview. Historical tuning note; Milestone 1 is now accepted by Babuni.dev for the current behavior.
Milestone 2 — The first portal
- Current reusable neutral stone tile component accepted by Babuni.dev; visual polish remains optional.
- Current titles and portal artwork accepted by Babuni.dev; elaborate background detailing is intentionally avoided.
- Prototype three point-anchored topic bubbles (top, left, right; physically tested and accepted by Babuni.dev).
- Hover, focus, tap and ambient teasers verified and accepted by Babuni.dev. Optional linger-to-reveal is outside the accepted scope.
- Dense-grid visual balance accepted by Babuni.dev: neutral tile backgrounds allow diverse portal artwork to stand out.
Milestone 3 — Small bloom
- Select and focus a tile instance (functional prototype).
- Reserve adjacent grid cells for up to eight modules; move displaced neighbors.
- Keep neighboring tiles visible and allow nonconflicting shifts at the approved calm tempo.
- Support switching selection and graceful collapse.
- Preserve selected source identity across recycled instances (regressions plus Babuni.dev physical/extended acceptance).
Milestone 3 status: Complete for the current design; physical and prolonged use accepted by Babuni.dev (2026-10-29).
Milestone 4 — Full bloom and viewers
- Grow big bloom inside the living grid with 2×2 modules and surrounding tiles.
- Retain the original-size project tile in the selected module’s lower-left quarter as a one-step return to centered small bloom.
- Compose all populated intros; center the chosen module and reveal others top-first clockwise, with additional rows extending down.
- Expand text into a scrollable reader with safe Markdown/GFM document formatting.
- Provide a scrollable image collection and browser fullscreen control where supported.
- Provide deliberate video collection playback and source/resource links.
- Native-device, keyboard/reduced-motion, responsive, fullscreen and many-hour-session acceptance reported by Babuni.dev. Earlier Chrome/Firefox observations remain recorded separately. Document/gallery presentation is accepted and can continue to evolve.
Milestone 4 status: Complete for the present scope, accepted by Babuni.dev (2026-10-29). Markdown/GFM, reader, galleries and embedded video collections work; four BABUNI.DEV recordings remain locally hosted. Further presentation improvements are ongoing, not completion blockers.
Milestone 5 — Content and automation
- Validate the implemented JSON module schema and repository-source mappings.
- Optional/deferred: MDX only if a future need arises for interactive components inside authored Markdown; not required for current milestones.
- Populate source-backed project modules, including babuni.dev (35 current projects connected to 35 public repositories; editorial review remains ongoing).
- Surface repository development notes as first-class modules.
- Ongoing human editorial review of AI-assisted text and project histories; attribution is implemented, accuracy review continues without requiring complete content before release.
- Add CI build checks.
- Add preview deployments.
- Explicit publication authorization for the current 42-project catalog and existing public-source documentation (Babuni.dev, 2026-10-29).
- Future enhancement: owner project visibility/publishing UI. Private material is not imported.
Milestone 6 — Release
- Configure VPS hosting, deployment, domain and HTTPS.
- Responsive, keyboard/touch, fullscreen and long-session experience accepted by Babuni.dev.
- Verify real production hosting: compression/cache headers, load timings, security configuration and a final deployed smoke check.
- Add 433 crawlable static home/project/module URLs, descriptive titles, canonical URLs, sitemap, crawler rules, sharing metadata and source-preserving readable documents; verify built links/headings/metadata. Search indexing is not guaranteed.
- Publish an initial release and maintain the changelog and journal.
Documentation requirement for every milestone
Update CHANGELOG for implemented changes; DEVLOG for context and experiments; DECISIONS for durable choices; DESIGN/ARCHITECTURE/CONTENT as applicable; and ROADMAP as work changes. Distinguish Babuni.dev requests, agent proposals, completed work, and evidence.
Historical milestone notes — superseded where the current checklist differs
Manual-speed iteration (2026-10-26): Babuni.dev requested twice the current mouse/touch and arrow-key movement speed. Updated control limits are implemented (880 and 260 CSS px/s, with proportionally faster acceleration and deceleration). Actual browser feel and acceptance are pending.
Speed tuning (2026-10-26): Babuni.dev requested doubling the mouse/touch and arrow-key movement speeds. The new tuning is implemented (880 and 260 CSS px/s maximum respectively) with proportionally doubled acceleration/deceleration. Hands-on approval and fresh local tests remain pending.
45-identity visual check (2026-10-26): Added demo projects through PROJECT 45 and tests for uniqueness across all 45 cells initially visible at 1920×1080. Updated two stale control tests from Babuni.dev's preceding 28/30 run. Full post-change suite and visual inspection are pending.
Babuni.dev checkpoint (2026-10-26): Initial spiral visual arrangement approved with 45 demo identities. Before the first stone portal, prioritize fresh npm run test:grid and npm run build, a short real desktop shift/recycling check, and keyboard/reduced-motion checks. Physical phone and laptop responsiveness can remain a later verification track, reflecting Babuni.dev's desktop-first preference. Current control ceilings in code were doubled again to 1760 CSS px/s pointer and 520 CSS px/s keyboard; older historical roadmap figures remain as records of previous experiments.
Shift-entry project stability (2026-10-26): Babuni.dev saw a tile enter as one project and change name/color as it finished an autonomous shift, especially from the left. Pre-staging an entering tile's identity is now implemented with regression cases for four directions and simultaneous shifts. The fix is awaiting a full local test and Babuni.dev visual approval; do not mark live movement identity stability complete yet.
One-time entrance animation (2026-10-26): Babuni.dev requested a decorative clockwise reveal with a 373 ms growing animation per project, starting at BABUNI.DEV. The prototype uses a provisional 68 ms stagger, one-time initial-visible-tile animation, immediate interruption on navigation, and reduced-motion bypass. Added regression tests for order and timing; Babuni.dev visual acceptance and full local suite remain pending. This does not complete the mechanical identity/shift tests of Milestone 1.
Prototype content update (2026-10-26): 53 inventory candidates are now used as tile names (BABUNI.DEV plus 52 others), with provisional IDs, one-line summaries and source evidence for later work. The 45-tile centered desktop continues to use the existing spiral and reveal. Next confirm long-title legibility, no sudden identity swaps during shifts, and correctness of 53-name recycling. Final portal art/textures are deferred and optional by Babuni.dev preference; focus on functional milestones. This does not count as 53 fully verified portfolio entries, nor as completing Milestone 5's production content schema.
Milestone 2 — first information-point prototype (2026-10-26): Babuni.dev approved a glowing top square, revealing only a tiny category/topic when exploring the portal region, not the whole tile. The implementation adds a single compact bubble, 53 provisional topic labels and mouse/keyboard/touch triggers. The first-point behavior awaits browser/device acceptance and tests; four-point layout, automatic teaser, linger behavior and final art are still open. Topic keyword extraction from descriptions/devlogs is a later curation project, not yet implemented.
Milestone 2 ambient topic prototype (2026-10-26): Babuni.dev requested occasional gentle, unprompted glowing topic hints alongside on-demand portal bubbles. One-at-a-time randomized idle teasers are implemented; pacing and browser/device behavior await review.
Milestone 3 initial small-bloom prototype (2026-10-26): Babuni.dev directed: click any project tile → move the whole grid until it is centered → only then displace neighbors to clear a real adjacent square. The prototype uses a pinned logical source, 720 ms camera movement, a one-cell shift of the entire right-hand row segment, and one provisional summary module. Automatic shifting pauses while the bloom is open. Geometry tests authored; visual/keyboard/touch checks and further design iterations pending. This is not completion of Milestone 3.
The focus gate now distinguishes keyboard-visible focus from stale mouse/touch focus to avoid unnecessary indefinite suppression.
Creator checkpoint — ambient feedback (2026-10-26): The creator judged the small bloom's center-first camera motion and neighbor-cell displacement smooth, visually pleasing and deliberately arranged. The automatic mini-topics, however, were often missed or appeared at viewport corners. Implemented a provisional five-second hint cadence with short 600 ms retries across shifts, full-tile safe-area selection, and avoidance of suppression caused by passive viewport/stale pointer focus. Dedicated helper tests were added, but browser verification of the new hint frequency and placement is pending. No changes to the approved bloom timings.
Milestone 3 — movement and selection priority refinement (2026-10-26): Babuni.dev requested the living grid to keep shifting in nonconflicting rows/columns while a bloom is open; selecting a moving tile should immediately show a golden highlight and wait for the affected shift, while selecting an unrelated tile pauses that shift and begins centering immediately. Switching from one open bloom to another must close the first bloom and only then recenter/open the second. Implemented a prototype conflict filter protecting the selected row plus selected/module columns; other columns can cross the translated right-hand run with a coordinated sideways offset. Close-first switching and queued golden selection are implemented. Focused tests added; full browser/build verification and multi-module conflict safety remain pending.
2026-10-26 — Two-module mechanics checkpoint
Implemented prototype: right summary and lower metadata modules with physical vacancies; occupied visual-column shifts; complete expansion-run conflict checks; immediate drag/arrow navigation while closing; unrelated hover persistence; square-top bubble anchors. Shared vacancy geometry supports and tests a future 3×3 set, but full bloom remains unimplemented.
Verified in this session: grid test command (nine passing test files), Astro production build, local 620×652 browser preview of two modules and drag/collapse. Remaining: prolonged shift/recycling and identity checks, exact bubble alignment at all responsive sizes, hover persistence during repeated unrelated shifts, real touch/keyboard/reduced-motion acceptance, final lower-module editorial approval, and full-bloom scheduling/content. Milestone 3 remains a prototype, not complete.
2026-10-26 topic wings: Implemented Babuni.dev’s revised outward overlay direction and left bottom-right anchor, with equal typography and source-tile stacking above neighbors. Build and nine grid test files pass; desktop 1280×720 browser preview confirms three outward bubbles and side overlap. Physical mobile and viewport-edge acceptance remain open.
2026-10-26 sequential topics: Implemented shuffled cumulative reveal for portal hover/focus/tap. Tests cover all six permutations, unique points and stagger bounds; grid suite and build pass. Browser timing/lifecycle and physical touch acceptance remain pending.
Milestone 2 — portal symmetry refinement (2026-10-26): Babuni.dev requested one portal circle size on every square tile (midpoint between 59% and 53%) and three glowing point squares with equal radial distance from the portal's center, placed farther toward the inner stone frame. A shared portal-relative layout now uses a provisional 56% circle and reanchors the previously implemented outward topic wings. Regression tests added; final visual acceptance, small-screen/long-title fit and a fresh local build remain pending. This is an aesthetic consistency update, not completion of Milestone 2 or a change to full-bloom plans.
2026-10-26 calm-shift and renderer correction: Removed accelerated close/switch completion; every selection waits for the established 4.4-second shift. Restricted bloom CSS transitions to opening/closing and aligned visibility reservations with visual occupancy. Nine test files and production build pass. Added repeated opposite-column trajectory/endpoint identity checks over eight rounds. Desktop browser observed queued selection (~4502 ms from observed shift start to centering), a live vertical shift with zero overlapping visible tiles, and zero tile transition duration during steady bloom and after completion. This is sampled evidence, not exhaustive animation verification. Long-run recycling, phones/tablets, reduced-motion/keyboard acceptance and future full bloom remain open.
Integrated verification: Preserved portal symmetry commit fbc923d; final suite passes ten test files and build. Fresh port-4323 browser shows both modules with zero steady/post-shift tile transition duration.
2026-10-26 Babuni.dev desktop acceptance: User reports smooth right-side shifts in both directions, drag closing, natural surrounding shifts, and orderly waits even when selecting a moving tile or closing. This is positive desktop feedback for the small-bloom prototype; it does not complete physical-device/full-bloom verification.
Waiting pulse and first real portal artwork: Implemented opacity-only pending-action feedback, steady reduced-motion indication and the supplied BABUNI.DEV PNG through the existing round aperture. Ten test files and build pass. Desktop browser verified the loaded 1254px image and circular mask; queued opening/closing each exposed one busy waiting tile; the pulse used 1.6s opacity animation with no transform and cleared after opening. Long-run recycling, physical mobile, reduced-motion visual acceptance and pulse pacing remain open.
2026-10-26 unified tile action: Implemented whole-tile hover/focus topic discovery and one click/tap/keyboard action for selection, including the portal region. New structural regression requires exactly one button per tile. Ten test files and build pass; desktop browser confirms one button per rendered tile, no portal buttons, focus-triggered topic reveal, portal-center selection, and portal-origin drag/pan with eventual close and no stray selection. Physical touch and final hover feel remain open.
2026-10-26 mobile browsing checkpoint: Babuni.dev reports liking the mobile appearance despite current sizing not being optimized. Implemented mobile center-tile topics and persistent bloom panning on all devices. Geometry tests cover center boundaries, module vacancies, displacement/mid-shift positions, and selected identity retention far beyond the DOM pool. Ten test files and build pass. Desktop preview retained an open bloom through drag, far pan beyond the selected DOM tile and return. A 390×844 static-build fixture with coarse/no-hover media detection explicitly mocked verified center-topic transfer, one topic owner, and persistent modules during mouse-driven mobile-mode panning. This is not a native touch-device test. Mobile size optimization, orientation/reset behavior and physical touch acceptance remain open.
Current next step — Babuni.dev direction, 2026-10-26
- Human mobile evidence: Babuni.dev clarified that their mobile feedback is from actual phone use and that present bloom functionality/readability is satisfactory for this stage. Earlier browser mocks remain accurately labeled; they do not replace or invalidate human testing.
- Immediate refinement implemented: Open-bloom anchor does not show redundant topic bubbles; other tiles continue normally. Ten test files, build and desktop focus/other-tile browser check pass.
- Next, before coding full bloom: Refine and agree module families and shared data/view structure. CONTENT contains an AI draft for review. Full bloom and production schema remain unimplemented.
- Defer polish: Resize/orientation, keyboard focus continuity, dense-layout readability and visual optimization remain tracked but are not the immediate priority. No automatic timing or positioning changes are authorized by this planning discussion.
2026-10-26 — Content-backed small-bloom previews
Babuni.dev confirms the bubble exclusion works and phone orientation has shown no problems in their real-device testing. Prioritize content/module architecture; landscape/readability polish remains deferred.
Implemented: shared content definitions, twelve populated BABUNI.DEV modules, five populated Button Game modules and empty definitions omitted; random sampling capped at nine plus the anchor; independent sequential reveal with cleanup; real gallery/video/resource previews; dynamic physical vacancies on both sides of a fixed anchor. MODULE_AUTHORING documents media folders and source/public hosting distinctions.
Verified: eleven test files and build; seeded selection/reveal/content/asset tests and one-through-nine geometry/shift inversion checks. Browser: nine own previews, stationary centered anchor, zero measured panel/tile overlaps, deliberate native video playback, image switching, exactly five Button Game previews, varied own subsets on reopening and mid-reveal switch cleanup.
Next: refine and implement expanded full-page module presentation and navigation from these previews. A split-pane layout versus larger scrolling modules remains undecided. Native phone acceptance of this new multi-module implementation, extended mixed-shift/recycling runs, and external provider embed playback remain open. Do not confuse earlier phone acceptance with verification of this new commit.
2026-10-26 — Button Game portal artwork
- Built: Button Game supplied logo connected to the circular portal via explicit project artwork metadata. Expanded module/full-bloom work remains unchanged.
2026-10-26 — Eight modules around the center
Built: corrected the small-bloom maximum to eight surrounding previews plus the center project (3×3 total), superseding the earlier nine-preview interpretation. Larger catalogs and randomized sequential reveal remain; full-page expansion is still future work.
2026-10-26 — Draggable big bloom and module detail
Implemented: four-level module navigation, draggable big bloom with all populated modules and selected intro centered, progressive shuffled reveals, top-left one-step return portal, full-page text/image/video/resource detail, keyboard navigation and media cleanup. Small bloom still samples eight and returns with its same content; no center-tile full-bloom shortcut.
Content update: BABUNI.DEV has nine modules after grouping its four recordings into one Videos collection. Button Game remains five. YouTube hosting deferred by Babuni.dev until URLs are provided.
Milestone 4 is a functional prototype, not a release-complete claim: native phone/cross-browser acceptance, long-session navigation, advanced document formatting, image presentation polish and production accessibility/performance review remain. Milestones 5/6 publishing/hosting work is not implied complete.
2026-10-26 — Big bloom grows inside the living grid
Built revision of Milestone 4: big bloom integrated into the living grid with real 2×2 reservations, the original tile as lower-left Back, surrounding autonomous shifts, shared panning, top-first clockwise appearance and downward three-column overflow. Longer body excerpts and media-collection context now distinguish big previews from small teasers. Separate modal intro canvas/header are superseded; only full detail remains modal. Small-bloom sampling and full detail navigation are retained.
Validation includes arbitrary larger catalogs in geometry tests; actual BABUNI.DEV currently has nine modules, so downward overflow is not claimed as observed with a larger real project. Native-device, prolonged shift/recycling and final visual acceptance remain open. No production deployment or YouTube migration is included.
2026-10-26 — Four additional portal images
Built: the four newly supplied FavorCraft, FlourishForever, ResistForever and SocialForever portal identities are connected. This asset update does not change milestone scope or imply new project-module content.
2026-10-26 — Stronger action and waiting feedback
Built: stronger tile/preparation pulse and pointer/keyboard button acknowledgement, including a persistent queued Read more indication. Next acceptance checks: switch during a running shift; full forward/back navigation; panning beside an open big bloom; phone reading/orientation and media cleanup. After Milestone 4 acceptance, Milestone 5 focuses on content validation/authoring, another populated real project and CI build checks. Hosting/release remains later and requires its own authorization.
2026-10-27 — Content validation and authoring
Babuni.dev direction: Move forward with Content Validation and Authoring after positive interaction feedback.
Built: field-level catalog validation, build gate, blank templates and practical authoring instructions. Retained current JSON modules; MDX blocks are not implemented. Two populated projects and document-backed development modules already exist. Still open: editorial review of content/attribution, another real project if desired, CI/preview checks and controlled publishing. Device/accessibility acceptance items remain separately tracked.
2026-10-27 — Five more project portals
Built: five additional supplied portal images wired to their project tiles. Content editorial review and CI remain open; this asset assignment does not complete those milestones.
2026-10-27 — Framed detail reader
Built: user-requested framed square detail panel with visible grid surround, internal scrolling and fade/grow entrance. This replaces the opaque full-screen reader presentation. Babuni.dev visual/phone acceptance remains pending; content review and CI remain separate next work.
2026-10-27 — Hidden scrollbars
Built: user-requested hidden scrollbars across preview modules and detail reader; native scrolling retained. Physical-device review remains separate.
2026-10-27 — Repository-backed project documentation
Built: repository-backed documentation for all confirmed public matches, an explicit status for every current tile, source refresh/validation commands, and a coverage report. Public-only extraction was confirmed by Babuni.dev. Current coverage is 34 connected tiles via 33 public repositories; twelve unmatched, four private-review and three family clarifications remain. The shared journal reuses BABUNI.DEV; Rocketgame42 is reported without adding a new tile.
Milestone 5 now has real multi-project source content and validation; MDX blocks, CI/preview automation, controlled deployment, source editorial review and per-project content delivery remain open. Refresh is explicit and builds use the committed snapshot; automated upstream-triggered refresh is not implemented.
2026-10-27 — On-demand source text and automated CI (post-build-warning refinement): Babuni.dev supplied a successful prior local verification (92/92 tests, Astro build passed, zero npm audit vulnerabilities), with Vite warning about an initial >500 kB JavaScript chunk. Babuni.dev authorized the AI recommendation to split source documentation out of the initial bundle and add GitHub Actions. Implemented build-time per-document static Markdown files and a compact eager preview/intro index, leaving small/big bloom timing and content selection synchronous; full text loads in the reader on demand. Added offline export/content fidelity and error-path tests, and a read-only GitHub workflow for npm ci, grid tests and build. CI result, new bundle size and hands-on detail-reader behavior are still unverified at commit time; verify before marking performance work complete.
Post-implementation CI feedback (2026-10-27): New GitHub Actions was activated by commit 10c7249; first run found 96 passing tests and one exact-intro-parity regression. Corrected double truncation in moduleIntro and updated the runner actions; await a green follow-up CI run and final static bundle-size inspection. This is an active fix, not grounds to declare the performance task complete yet.
Post-change verification (2026-10-27): GitHub Actions run on 3041e01 passed all 97 tests, content validation and production build. The reported Vite large-chunk warning remains; the next CI step will print detailed raw/gzip client bundle sizes before making further compression/splitting decisions. Maintain distinction between successful builds and unverified end-user load time.
Performance verification checkpoint (2026-10-27): GitHub Actions run on a12fde3 passed 97/97 tests and the production build. Measured output: 584.7 KiB raw / 174.0 KiB gzip JavaScript in one chunk. The original >500 KiB warning persists; the exact original long documents are now separate, lazily loaded static assets. Next evaluate browser request timing and whether splitting the small preview/intro index by project materially helps; do not alter approved bloom behavior merely to suppress a build warning.
2026-10-27 — Portal artwork blink at end of shift: Babuni.dev reported a brief logo flicker when tiles reach their settled positions. Code inspection traced a likely cause to a post-shift populate remounting lazy portal images into fixed DOM slots. Implemented a source-aware permutation of existing DOM tile residents (including their loaded images) at shift settlement, with normal buffer recycling only offscreen. Added row/column/bloom-aware regression tests. CI and browser confirmation of no blink, overlap or identity regression remain pending; no change to the approved shift tempo.
2026-10-27 — Original portal art migrated to WebP paths, pending binary push: Babuni.dev reported they had already converted eleven portal PNG assets into WebP and supplied an additional BuxbrewResist emblem. Twelve portalArtwork entries now point directly to expected original WebPs. A local original-byte import/rename helper and tests were added. The separate local WebP binaries still require Babuni.dev's git add -A public/portal-content, commit and push. Until then, GitHub CI's content asset validation is expected to fail: this milestone is code complete but not asset complete. Verify 12/12 paths and portal visuals after the binary commit.
2026-10-27 — Complete supplied WebP artwork and retain reader attribution
Built: complete fifteen-image WebP migration, three additional project assignments and source/credit preservation during asynchronous reading. This closes the missing-artwork build failure and disappearing-footer findings from the preceding review. Physical phone/long-session visual acceptance remains separate; CI confirmation follows the published commit.
2026-10-27 — Render repository Markdown as document structure
Built: common Markdown/GFM formatting in detail, including emphasis, code, quotes, tables, nested/ordered/task lists and source-relative/reader-heading links. This addresses the reported raw-markup display problem. No MDX, math, raw HTML execution or automatic document-image loading is introduced. Existing physical-device and full accessibility acceptance tracks remain open.
2026-10-27 — Dismiss the reader from its surround
Built: requested outside-reader click/tap dismissal and removal of its Back to big bloom button, with Escape retained and accidental text-drag dismissal guarded. This is a navigation-control refinement, not another bloom depth or motion change. Native-phone and extended accessibility acceptance remain open.
2026-10-27 — Markdown at every reading depth
Built: Markdown formatting in small and big bloom previews, with bounded excerpts and shared safe rendering. Babuni.dev clarified that content completeness is secondary and ongoing, not an acceptance gate. Remaining functional/device/accessibility checks still matter independently of WIP content.
2026-10-27 — Direct discovery and persistent navigation
Built: site header in all four depths, Projects dropdown with search and direct center/open behavior, About introduction, and archive of all 19 available prior saved browser screenshots in Visual documentation. Future saved verification captures belong in that archive. Content remains living/WIP; physical-device and long-session acceptance remain separate.
2026-10-27 — Phone reader and activity refinements
Built from Babuni.dev’s actual-phone feedback: larger full-width phone reader, shrinking dismissal, centered contextual activity, shared header help and removal of redundant small-bloom Close. About is now a source-backed WIP with public profile links; richer personal history remains ongoing content authoring. Agent browser checks are separate from the next physical-phone acceptance pass. Existing grid tempo and four depths remain unchanged.
2026-10-27 — #28 documentation-audit checkpoint
Already in main: 53 provisional candidate tiles; 34 mapped tiles/33 public repositories; 15 original WebP portal artworks; moving/dragging recycled grid; small/big blooms and reader; safe Markdown previews; searchable projects/constant header; archived visual browser evidence. These source capabilities are not newly implemented by this audit.
Reported latest historical verification: The October 27 journal records 126 passing Node tests, successful content preparation and production build, and browser checks of direct navigation after a stale buffered-project identity was corrected. It does not claim every test was rerun today or that the project has native-phone acceptance.
Next integration step (not executed here): Following the sequential documentation commits in other Babuni.dev repositories, explicitly review external source revisions, run npm run content:sync, npm run content:check, npm run test:grid, npm run build and npm run content:report (or inspect the resulting report) before committing revised imported document snapshots. Verify source/credit references, no invented data, and unchanged project placements. Auto-sync on page load or unreviewed network fetching is not approved.
Still open: genuine mobile and keyboard/reduced-motion acceptance, long-session behavior, initial bundle-size warning, publication-content editorial approval, hosting/deployment on the intended VPS, and license selection. Do not turn “finish all 53 portfolio articles” into a release gate: Babuni.dev specifically described content as a living/WIP project.
2026-10-27 — WebP publishing consistency
Built: all published images use WebP, including gallery screenshots and video posters; image format/signature checks prevent regression. Existing converted media set is 31.5% smaller before adding this session’s verification capture. Originals remain outside publication. Actual phone acceptance remains a separate track.
2026-10-27 — Desktop motion investigation
Built: eliminate press-induced shift freeze, gradually brake active shifts only during actual dragging, cache repeated source/vacancy mappings and avoid redundant writes. Tests preserve normal tempo and geometry. Desktop smoothness remains open: local frame samples contain occasional longer gaps and do not establish a universal FPS improvement. Continue targeted desktop acceptance; do not mask stutter by speeding up or retiming approved transitions.
2026-10-27 — Human desktop feedback and recommended next acceptance work
Babuni.dev reports: Movement feels smoother after cfd4c25. This is positive desktop feel feedback, not an exhaustive performance or long-session sign-off.
AI recommendation, not yet authorized implementation: Next verify keyboard/focus/reduced-motion navigation across all four depths, plus extended grid recycling/project identity. Keep the revised phone reader acceptance open. Then prepare controlled preview/staging deployment and release checks. Content stays ongoing secondary work; no new visual redesign or timing changes are implied.
2026-10-27 — Keyboard scope clarified by Babuni.dev
Built: replace free arrow panning with highlight-first spatial navigation, center entry, explicit Space/Enter activation and one-depth Escape/focus return. Header navigation remains conventional. Browser sampled the full grid → small → big → reader → big → small → grid sequence and header project search. This implements the requested model, not a claim of exhaustive keyboard/accessibility acceptance. No new pointer or motion tuning is implied.
Browser branding refinement — 2026-10-27
Built at Babuni.dev’s request: toolbar disabled and graphic-only transparent B favicon installed. Tests/build and page DOM checks passed; human confirmation of browser-tab appearance/cache refresh remains open. This refinement does not close other milestone acceptance or content work.
Header B mark — 2026-10-27
Babuni.dev additionally requested the B to the left of BABUNI.DEV in the persistent header, using WebP, and explicitly authorized committing, pushing, updating and restarting the local site for future changes. AI reused the transparent 64×64 favicon at 32×32 CSS pixels, with fixed dimensions and decorative empty alternative text beside the existing accessible brand name. This adds no image duplicate or interaction changes.
Reader navigation refinement — 2026-10-27
Built: reader-only frameless position thumb with direct dragging, overflow updates and keyboard support. Desktop browser dragging and Home verified; physical-phone dragging, long-gallery edge cases and human acceptance remain open. Content remains a living work in progress; this addition does not close unrelated milestone acceptance.
Latest acceptance and long-session follow-up — 2026-10-27
Human accepted: keyboard round trip for shipping; frameless reader handle; reader scrolling works well. Human observed: Firefox works and feels better than Chrome; general long-running dragging can become less smooth. Earlier generic keyboard-pending notes are historical; exhaustive screen-reader coverage is still separate. Do not infer new phone acceptance from unclear speech.
Built: retained bounded source cache, individual LRU eviction, vacancy-free history fast path, long-history/eviction tests and a calculation benchmark. All checks passed locally; user long-session acceptance remains open. Reduced-motion, long-gallery edge cases, heap/load profiling and full cross-browser/fullscreen acceptance remain checks, alongside hosting/release work. Content completion remains secondary.
Four private projects: public documentation direction — 2026-10-28
- Babuni.dev chose separate public documentation rather than public implementations.
- Prepare and check four curated local ten-document editions.
- Publish the four documentation repositories; automatic approval blocked the first creation/push.
- Verify anonymous access, connect the four mappings, import their public snapshots, test/build and publish the website update.
Current private-review statuses remain truthful until that work completes. See docs/PUBLIC_DOCUMENTATION_PLAN.md; no private repository visibility was changed.
Public documentation publication and integration follow-up — 2026-10-28
- Babuni.dev created and pushed all four public documentation repositories.
- AI anonymously verified each public main commit and ten documents; original implementations remain private.
- Connect the four mappings and import forty documents; update report to 38 tiles / 37 public repositories.
- Validate content, regression tests and production build locally.
- Publish the website integration and pull/restart the local testing site.
This supersedes the pending-publication state in the preceding preparation entry. Unconfirmed project-family tiles and the twelve missing-repository projects remain unchanged.
Resize continuity and measured production follow-up — 2026-10-28
- Preserve selected small bloom and pending selection when the viewport rebuilds.
- Retain logical map location and active camera progress across responsive tile-size changes.
- Browser viewport checks of small bloom, big bloom and reader through desktop/narrow/phone sizes; physical-device confirmation remains separate.
- Add four supplied original portal WebPs, bringing mapped art to nineteen.
- Measure static production bytes and local uncached loading; identify generated intro metadata as the main large-chunk contributor.
- Human acceptance of the resize fix and real phone orientation behavior.
- Decide on smaller portal derivatives and/or per-project preview loading without compromising approved opening feel; warning remains visible.
- Measure real hosting compression/network performance during deployment preparation.
Human long-session evidence: Babuni.dev now reports no progressive slowdown after hours, little/no issue in Firefox and some remaining Chrome unevenness. This narrows the performance gap; no general Chrome/GPU or computer-uptime cause is proven. Existing keyboard and reader-control acceptance remain in force.
Owner curation and banner follow-up — 2026-10-28
- Remove the four explicitly withdrawn independent entries from grid/search/topics/mappings.
- Verify journal, decisions and collaboration remain within BABUNI.DEV.
- Keep MorkahjaWorld as the single retained worldbuilding entry and add an attributed scope clarification.
- Connect supplied Arcanitebrothers artwork without recompression.
- Prune only orphaned cached sources and pass catalog/content/tests/build checks.
- Publish the website changes and perform human visual acceptance.
- Later content work: bring the public MorkahjaWorld documentation edition into line with the newly confirmed worldbuilding scope.
Active inventory is now 49 entries / 35 public-source connections. Earlier 53-entry counts are historical evidence, not current catalog totals. No additional project-family mergers or repository deletions are implied.
Further owner curation — 2026-10-28
Built: remove The Amberbrew Family and Practical Templates Creator from active grid/search/topics/mappings. Current list: 47 projects, 35 connected public sources, 10 without repositories and two needing family clarification. Repository creation for the two withdrawn candidates is no longer pending work. Publication and human visual acceptance remain separate.
2026-10-28 — Warehouse Performance Model withdrawn
Babuni.dev requested: remove Warehouse Performance Model too. Implemented by AI: removed its semantic ID from the active grid/search catalog, both topic maps and unresolved repository mappings. No connected snapshot or curated module existed; no repository, document, artwork or other project was deleted. Current totals: 46 entries, 35 connected public sources, nine missing-repository entries and two family-clarification entries. Historical inventory mentions remain historical. No interaction timing or layout change.
2026-10-28 — GuildChatAI withdrawn
Babuni.dev requested: remove GuildChatAI too. AI implementation: removed its active catalog/topic/mapping records and the orphaned public GuildChatAI snapshot (ten documents). All other retained snapshots, projects, artwork and interaction behavior remain unchanged. No repository deletion was requested or performed. Active totals: 45 entries, 34 connected public sources, 33 external snapshots and 316 external documents. Historical research mentions remain historical. Verification is recorded in DEVLOG.
2026-10-28 — Dual-PC Streaming Setup withdrawn
Babuni.dev requested: remove Dual-PC Streaming Setup too. AI implementation: removed its active semantic ID, topics and unresolved repository mapping. It had no connected source snapshot or curated module content. All other sources, projects, artwork and interactions remain unchanged; historical mentions remain historical. Current totals: 44 entries, 34 connected public sources, eight missing-repository entries and two family-clarification entries. No repository deletion or new timing/layout change. Verification is recorded in DEVLOG.
2026-10-28 — Mech-Arena withdrawn
Babuni.dev requested: remove Mech-Arena too. AI implementation: removed its active semantic ID, topic records and unresolved repository mapping. It had no connected source snapshot or curated module content. Other projects, documents, artwork, layout and timing remain unchanged; historical research mentions remain historical. Totals: 43 entries, 34 connected public sources, seven missing-repository entries and two family-clarification entries. No repository deletion. Verification is recorded in DEVLOG.
2026-10-28 — Local Prompt Lab is part of Anskar Grotzschnapf
Babuni.dev clarified: Local Prompt Lab is part of the Anskar Grotzschnapf project, not an independent project. AI implementation: removed the standalone catalog/topic/mapping records, retaining Anskar Grotzschnapf and its existing public source unchanged. No imported Local Prompt Lab snapshot or curated modules existed to transfer. Preserve supplied LocalPromptLab.webp as historical artwork rather than delete it. Active totals: 42 entries, 34 connected public sources, six missing-repository entries and two family-clarification entries. Nineteen active artwork assignments; twenty supplied portal WebPs retained. No repository deletion, automatic source rewrite or interaction change. Verification is recorded in DEVLOG.
2026-10-28 — Curation integrity follow-up
- Diagnose visible identity replacement at shift completion and protect departing/incoming identities.
- Implement Babuni.dev's five neutral filler identities, preserving tile size and shift timing.
- Regression checks across catalog growth/reduction, 960 shifts, panning and displaced bloom columns; short desktop browser uniqueness check.

- Implement per-build public commit-date refresh and newest-first initial spiral, retaining stable ties/undated order.
- Keep visitor sessions fixed; preserve semantic identities, menu categories, geometry and timing.
- Add cache/network/public-only/initial-order regression coverage and offline dev/test preparation.
- Human acceptance: newest dated project begins in the center after a build; undated projects follow; no reshuffle occurs during browsing.

2026-10-29 — Curation and GatherMap artwork
- Remove Fantasy RPG Assets from active projects, preserving history.
- Assign the supplied GatherMap.webp to GatherMap.
- Human visual check: retired entry absent and GatherMap artwork visible through the round portal mask.

- Rename Ethera: The Stonewrought to Ethera and Local AI Workstation to Local AI, preserving stable identities.
2026-10-29 — Remove Fantasy Architecture
Babuni.dev removed Fantasy Architecture from scope. Implemented by AI: 43 retained projects; content completeness remains secondary.
2026-10-29 — Grimnir portal artwork
Babuni.dev requested: use the supplied Grimnir.webp for Grimnir. AI execution: map the existing stable project ID to /portal-content/Grimnir.webp, preserving the supplied WebP bytes and existing round portal mask. This replaces its provisional colored portal; 34 active projects now have supplied artwork. No project identity, source, timing or placement changes. Verification: artwork regression tests, content validation and static production build run before publication using cached activity dates; no browser capture in this pass. Original artwork is retained without re-encoding.
2026-10-29 — ROARSounds portal artwork
Babuni.dev requested: use the supplied ROARsounds.webp for ROARSounds. AI execution: assign it to the existing roarsounds identity, replacing its provisional colored portal. Preserve supplied WebP bytes and the round mask; 35 active projects now have supplied artwork. No timing, positioning, source or identity changes. Verification: artwork regression tests, content validation and static production build run before publication using cached activity dates. No browser screenshot taken.
2026-10-29 — Worldbuilding and Roar Guild artwork
Babuni.dev supplied: MorkahjaWorldbuilding.webp and ROAR.webp. AI interpretation/execution: assign the first to Morkahja Worldbuilding and replace Roar Guild’s ROARGuild.webp mapping with ROAR.webp. Preserve the former file as historical artwork and keep RoarGuild Add-on’s separate image. Both new WebPs are copied unchanged; 36 active projects now have supplied artwork. No identity, source, timing or positioning changes. Verification: artwork regression tests, content validation and static production build run before publication using cached activity dates; no browser capture in this pass.
2026-10-29 — Correct ROAR artwork assignment
Babuni.dev corrected: ROAR.webp belongs to ROAR, not Roar Guild, which already had artwork. AI error and correction: the previous assignment inferred the wrong project; assign ROAR.webp to stable ID roar and restore ROARGuild.webp to roar-guild-and-community. RoarGuild Add-on retains its separate artwork. Earlier entry records the superseded mistake. There are now 37 active artwork assignments. No image bytes or interaction behavior changed. Verification: distinct artwork regression assertions, content validation and static production build run before publication with cached activity dates; no browser screenshot taken.
2026-10-29 — ROARRunlimited artwork
Babuni.dev supplied: RoarUnlimited.webp. AI execution: assign the unchanged WebP to the existing ROARRunlimited project (roarrunlimited), replacing its provisional colored portal and retaining the round mask. There are now 38 active artwork assignments. Other ROAR-family mappings, labels, timing and placement remain unchanged. Verification: artwork regression tests, content validation and static production build run before publication using cached activity dates; no browser capture taken.
2026-10-29 — ROARemoteTrigger artwork
Babuni.dev supplied: ROARRemoteTrigger.webp. AI execution: map the unchanged supplied WebP to the existing roaremotetrigger project, replacing its provisional colored portal with the existing round mask. There are now 39 active artwork assignments. Existing labels, other ROAR-family artwork, source mappings, timing and placement are preserved. Verification: artwork regression tests, content validation and static production build run before publication using cached activity dates; no browser screenshot taken.
2026-10-29 — Remove Analubia
Babuni.dev decided: remove Analubia to focus this portfolio on their own current projects; they described it as a past corporate collaboration and expressed uncertainty about present ownership. This is the human’s scope decision, not an independently verified ownership claim. AI execution: remove its active catalog, menu, topics and unresolved source mapping; preserve historical records and external projects. There are now 42 projects, 35 connected public sources and six needing repositories. No motion or layout changes. Verification: full tests, content validation and static production build run before publication using cached activity dates; no browser capture or source refresh.
2026-10-29 — LootFeed artwork
Babuni.dev supplied: LootFeed.webp. AI execution: assign the unchanged supplied WebP to stable project ID lootfeed, replacing its provisional colored portal within the existing round mask. There are now 40 active artwork assignments. No project labels, source connections, timing or placement changed. Verification: artwork regression tests, content validation and static production build run before publication using cached activity dates; no browser capture taken.
2026-10-29 — Rocket Game 42 artwork
Babuni.dev supplied: Rocketgame42.webp. AI execution: assign the unchanged supplied WebP to stable project ID rocket-game-42, replacing its provisional colored portal within the existing round mask. There are now 41 active artwork assignments. Project identity, source, timing and placement are unchanged. Verification: artwork regression tests, content validation and static production build run before publication using cached activity dates; no browser capture taken.
2026-10-29 — GroupBuffToggle artwork
Babuni.dev supplied: GroupBuff.webp. AI execution: assign the unchanged supplied WebP to the existing GroupBuffToggle project (groupbufftoggle), replacing its provisional colored portal within the existing round mask. All 42 current projects now have supplied portal artwork. Project names, source mappings, timing and placement are unchanged. Verification: artwork regression tests, content validation and static production build run before publication using cached activity dates; no browser capture taken.
2026-10-29 — 512-pixel portal publishing assets
Babuni.dev requested: make all portal images smaller, suggesting 512 × 512. AI implementation: resize all 42 active portal WebPs to 512 × 512 with Lanczos resampling and WebP quality 85, preserving composition and transparency; update renderer intrinsic dimensions. This supersedes earlier byte-preservation rules for these published versions. Originals remain in Git history and in the local non-public image-originals/portal-artwork-before-512-2026-10-29/ archive with a SHA-256 manifest. No artwork redesign, crop, portal size or animation changes. Alternatives: 384-pixel trial was smaller, but 512 follows the human’s chosen resolution and retains more detail. Total active portal bytes: 20,404,098 → 2,843,518 (86.1% reduction); largest 113,292 bytes. Gallery/verification images and favicon are outside this portal-only change. Import tooling still copies supplied files unchanged; intentional publishing optimization is separate. Verification: decoded all 42 WebPs and confirmed exact 512 × 512 dimensions; visually inspected a temporary contact sheet (not a browser capture); added a 150 KiB per-portal regression budget. Full tests, content validation and static production build run before publication with cached activity dates. No browser performance measurement claimed.
2026-10-29 — First Babuni Gaming video embed
Babuni.dev supplied: YouTube video 9fnC1ZI1iSY, described as the first published stream test/showcase (not the first recording), with quiet microphone audio. AI execution: add a fourth Babuni Gaming module, Videos, using the existing click-to-load youtube-nocookie.com embed renderer and a descriptive label, not an invented official title. Other videos can join this collection later. Playback is served by YouTube; no recording is copied into the site and existing BABUNI.DEV local clips remain unchanged. Existing renderer requires Load video before creating the external player. Verification: content regression coverage, full tests, content validation and static production build run before publication with cached activity dates. YouTube page retrieval failed; official title, playback and embedding permission are not verified and require a live playback check. No browser screenshot taken.
2026-10-29 — Second Babuni Gaming video
Babuni.dev supplied: YouTube video B2pMsZPQfCc as the second published video, with microphone audio still very quiet but acceptable to publish. AI execution: append it after the first recording in the existing Videos collection; update collection context to describe both videos. Labels are descriptive, not verified official titles. Existing click-to-load YouTube embeds handle playback; no local video copy or timing/layout changes. Verification: ordered collection regression assertions, content validation and static production build run before publication using cached activity dates. YouTube playback and embedding permission remain unverified; no browser capture taken.
2026-10-29 — Visible embedded video previews
Babuni.dev requested: visible large video previews in modules, the big bloom and reader instead of empty Load video buttons, with the ability to play directly. AI implementation: replace the extra load button with a lazy embedded player using the existing approved-host validation, privacy-enhanced YouTube URL and referrer policy. Put the first player above preview text in small/big modules and remove the big-card iframe height cap; the reader shows all collection players at full content width and 16:9. Native hosted clips retain their existing behavior. Trade-off: embedded previews may contact the video provider when visible, before playback; this supersedes the prior click-before-player approach. AI keeps playback user initiated to avoid simultaneous audio from multiple modules; no autoplay loop is introduced. Playback controls work inside the embed without opening another bloom. Verification: all 32 test files, content validation and static production build passed, including lazy iframe creation and rejection of unsafe hosts. No live browser playback or YouTube availability verified, and no browser screenshot taken.
2026-10-29 — Mighty Morkah video collection
Babuni.dev requested: embed the Mighty Morkah channel’s videos using the same visible player previews. AI execution: add one Videos module with all ten video titles and watch IDs visible on the channel’s Videos page, in its displayed latest-first order. Preserve historical wording and WIP labels. Existing renderer shows the first player in small/big bloom and all ten lazy player embeds in the reader; playback remains user initiated. YouTube serves the media, with no copied video files. Existing overview and profile links remain. Verification: direct browser inspection of https://www.youtube.com/@MightyMorkah/videos found ten video entries (channel currently displays Morkah); search/page-fetch tools failed before browser fallback succeeded. No individual playback or embedding permission verified. Collection tests, full regression suite, content validation and static build run before publication with cached activity dates. No browser screenshot taken.
2026-10-29 — Matching video frames
Babuni.dev requested: frame video embeds like their surrounding bloom modules. AI execution: wrap supported players in a shared video-frame element with the module’s 2-pixel muted-gold border, 5-pixel dark inner band and shadow. The frame is inside the available content width, with no overlay intercepting player controls; applies to embedded and native videos in small bloom, big bloom and reader. Player aspect ratio and playback behavior remain unchanged. No source or media changes. Verification: all 32 test files, content validation and static build passed. Initial DOM test caught use of a property missing from its lightweight DOM fixture; AI used the equivalent children collection and reran successfully. No browser screenshot or visual browser acceptance performed in this pass.
2026-10-29 — Selected module quarter overlay
Babuni.dev corrected: selected big-bloom content should continue behind the portal tile, with only the bottom-left quarter covered and the right side visible. AI diagnosis/execution: remove the selected-card-only half-height cap on .bloom-preview-content; use the same full-height scrollable content region as other big cards. The actual anchor tile remains one grid cell over the lower-left quarter of the existing 2 × 2 module. No tile or module repositioning, resizing, timing or media changes. Verification: full regression suite, content validation and static build run before publication. Existing geometry tests cover the quarter anchor and vacancies; no live browser visual acceptance or screenshot taken in this pass.
2026-10-29 — Keep incoming identities through shift commit
Babuni.dev reported: rare identity changes immediately after the first or second startup shift, especially the last incoming tile, suspected after project removals. AI investigation: 400 ordinary simulated startup rounds preserved identities. Adding intermediate viewport syncs in which an incoming source briefly entered and left the visible set reproduced a first-round swap with 42 projects and three fillers (seed 0, expected index 1 became 40). This confirms a failure path, not a browser reproduction of the human’s exact incident. AI implementation: keep staged entrance sources retained and protected through intermediate syncs; explicitly release reservations only after resident settlement, history commit and final placement sync. Previously the first sync seeing an entrance released it, allowing later syncs to deduplicate/reassign it before completion. No catalog, duplicate policy, shift tempo, geometry or DOM transfer behavior changed. Alternatives: avoid padding the catalog or suppressing all deduplication; fix reservation lifetime at the shift boundary. Verification: new integrated placement/shift/resident test covers 400 startup rounds with intermediate syncs and all landed identities. The failing simulation passes after the fix; all 33 test files, content validation and static build passed. No sustained browser reproduction or screenshot captured; human startup acceptance remains open.
2026-10-29 — Body-first documentation and newest-first logs
Babuni.dev requested: move opening authorship, source, version, target, primary-file and verification facts to the end, and show newest changelog/development-journal entries first so modules lead with meaningful content. AI interpretation/implementation: add a deterministic Markdown presentation transform at document preparation, shared by repository modules and generated reader assets. Preserve original imported snapshots and upstream repositories; publish a reordered reading copy. Recognized leading labelled facts/lists/tables move intact into a final Document information section. Narrative text, safety notices inside the body, links and nested Markdown remain intact. Only log paths are date-sorted: complete sibling sections move with their subsections, dated entries sort newest first, same-day ties keep source order, undated sections keep their slots. ISO and English month dates are supported; omitted years are inferred only from an unambiguous sibling year. Unreleased entries sort first. No dates or chronology are invented for version-only or undated headings. Alternatives: avoid editing dozens of upstream repositories or deleting metadata; use one presentation layer for small previews, big intros and reader text. Verification: added metadata/preview, nested log/fence, month-date and ambiguous-year tests; all imported source documents pass a non-whitespace character preservation comparison. Existing exact-body tests now compare the presentation copy. Full regression suite, content validation and static build run before publication with cached activity dates; no source sync, browser capture or manual document-by-document editorial acceptance claimed. Limitations: unrecognized narrative-shaped facts and ambiguous dates retain their original position.
2026-10-29 — Larger reader and footer stripe
Babuni.dev requested: enlarge the reader to around 70% of available space and vertically from the header to a new thin footer, styled like the header at one-third its height. AI interpretation/execution: use 70vw reader width on desktop and full height between the persistent header and decorative footer. Preserve the existing edge-to-edge mobile reader and its bottom dismissal gap. Add an empty, noninteractive footer stripe with matching header background/border, height derived from one third of the current header. Move and restore both header and stripe with the modal so they remain visible at all four depths. Keep desktop outside-click margins, reader scrolling and opening/closing animations. Text retains its readable line-length limit. Verification: full regression suite, content validation and static production build run before publication using cached activity dates. No browser screenshot or visual acceptance performed in this pass.
2026-10-29 — Warmer and larger typography
Babuni.dev requested: larger project titles, with short names larger within the same width, slightly larger bloom text (especially small bloom), and a friendly warm palette like the repository links with readable matching backgrounds. AI implementation: length-based tile-title scale (short/medium/long) within the common 89% title width; increase small headings/body including the mobile override, make a smaller increase to big-bloom typography, and raise reader body text from 17 to 18px. Use warm cream/gold headings and body text on charcoal-brown bloom/reader backgrounds. Captions and secondary bloom text grow slightly. Artwork, tile/module dimensions, geometry and animation timing are unchanged; larger content continues to use existing internal scrolling. Alternatives: use three deterministic name-length scales rather than measuring text during grid animation; no new font dependency or per-frame layout work. Verification: full regression suite, content validation and static build run before publication using cached activity dates. No browser screenshot or visual/device acceptance performed in this pass.
2026-10-29 — Prepare public discovery and production delivery
Babuni.dev authorized: publish every current catalog project and existing public-source content; implement readable pages, search/share information, sitemap, sensible crawler rules and real links, and investigate the bundle with production caching/compression prepared before weekend hosting. AI implementation: add static /projects/ directory, 42 stable project pages and populated module pages from the same current module/source pipeline (433 HTML URLs total); preserve source links, Markdown safety, authorship, WIP content and date presentation. Add www.babuni.dev canonical site identity, per-page titles/descriptions/Open Graph/social images, project CreativeWork data, sitemap and robots.txt. Real project-directory link is in Projects menu, with a no-JavaScript home fallback. No private repositories or unconnected account inventory imported.
Bundle change: generate 42 per-project JSON collections and fetch only a selected project, cached with deduplicated pending requests and retry after failure. Start fetching alongside the existing shift/centering procedure; a still-loading selected tile retains busy feedback and stale completions cannot reopen a closed/different selection. Keep the original motion, module content volume and source documents. Initial JS reduced from the audited 683 KiB / 195 KiB gzip to approximately 118 KiB / 37 KiB gzip; the 500 kB warning disappears without raising the warning limit. These are artifact/compression estimates, not internet transfer timings.
Alternatives and boundaries: use real, equally accessible readable pages rather than hidden keyword text or bot-only rendering; preserve the interactive grid as the main experience. All current projects are public by explicit human direction; a future publishing toggle remains optional work. Prepare a separate Nginx configuration and deployment guide with gzip, correct cache lifetimes and real 404s; do not change VPS/DNS/HTTPS before the agreed weekend or disturb arcanitebrothers.com. Actual HTTPS, gzip/cache headers, renewals, internet timings and search-account submissions remain open. No special AI file is needed for Google AI search; crawlable text and links are the foundation, without guaranteed indexing.
Verification: full tests/content checks/build plus sitemap/metadata/internal-link validation run before publication. Production browser preview confirmed LootFeed readable page, 42-project menu, normal shift-wait feedback, fetched eight-module small bloom, eleven-module big bloom and Overview reader with no browser errors. Two genuine browser screenshots archived as WebP in Visual documentation; physical acceptance remains attributed to Babuni.dev, not this browser check. Nginx configuration is prepared only: no local Nginx executable, live syntax test or hosting installation claimed.
2026-10-30 — Keep readable pages secondary
Babuni.dev feedback: the separate readable pages feel unattractive and do not need a Browse project pages link in the grid menu; asks how sources update and why the preview connection fails. AI execution: remove only that menu link, keeping the approved grid and blooms as the ordinary experience. Readable URLs, sitemap and useful no-JavaScript fallback remain publicly available to people and crawlers alike; they are not bot-only or private pages. No page redesign is claimed. Both readable pages and blooms use the same curated data and revision-pinned public snapshots, regenerated during content preparation/build; upstream document changes require a deliberate content sync, whereas commit-date refresh is separate. Connection diagnosis: 4326 was the temporary production preview deliberately stopped after verification; the regular local development server is on 4321. Verification: direct local HTTP checks, content validation, static build and canonical/internal-link checks run before publication; no browser screenshot taken for this menu-only removal. No DNS/VPS change or source snapshot refresh.
2026-10-30 — Golden shift status in the header
Babuni.dev requested: emphasize Rows/Columns are shifting and Waiting for shift to finish with a warm golden glow like the selected waiting tile, and clarify that opening waits for the shift. AI execution: centralize header presentation, add a static gold text glow for those two status families, and append the wait explanation to autonomous-shift messages. All direct selection waiting/centering updates use the same presenter so the glow clears for ordinary exploration, reading and centering. Existing tile feedback, 4.4-second shift tempo and opening sequence are unchanged; no extra animation is introduced, including for reduced motion. Verification: targeted status tests, full regression suite, content validation, static build and public-link checks run before publication with cached activity dates. No browser screenshot taken in this pass; visual acceptance remains with Babuni.dev.
2026-10-30 — Launch-readiness and server-access audit
Babuni.dev asked: check remaining launch gaps and explain direct agent/server access versus repeated manual server pulls/builds. AI audit: current source is clean; 37 test files, content validation, static production build and all 430 public URL/link checks passed. Current initial JS is about 120 KiB raw / 38 KiB gzip. Production dependency registry audit reported zero known advisories, not a complete security guarantee. No new browser/device or live VPS/load measurement performed. Result: code is ready for deployment preparation; SSH access, server-specific Nginx validation, DNS, HTTPS/renewal and live smoke/header/loading checks remain. Current CI tests/builds but does not deploy. AI recommendation: dedicated SSH deployment account and key, versioned static release upload and rollback, followed optionally by a manually triggered GitHub deployment workflow. These access/automation proposals are not configured or authorized as completed work. Existing Arcanite Brothers remains untouched. The local .ssh directory has no private key; no SSH session, key creation, new permissions or server change attempted. Update deploy/README.md with these distinctions and the current 41-project catalog count. Content curation and future visibility UI are not launch blockers for the already approved public catalog.
2026-10-31 — ActionEmotes #1 identity and public-source update
Babuni.dev confirmed: Buxbrew Charge is now ActionEmotes #1 and its public repository is babunidev/ActionEmotes-1; import its added documentation into the portfolio. AI verification/execution: verify public visibility and main branch, import only this project’s ten standard documents at bb9bac59c88db3f05f824519eaaf2e37cb780e59, replace the retired snapshot/source key, and update the display name, repository mapping and source-based action/emote summary/topics. Stable ID buxbrewcharge, existing public page paths and BuxbrewCharge.webp artwork remain, avoiding duplicate tiles or broken stable URLs. Refresh this repository’s verified commit metadata for the opening chronology and regenerate the connection report. Other repository snapshots are not refreshed. Source limitation: the README still describes the rename as proposed and the repository as retaining the former name; preserve its imported wording as source evidence while using the human-confirmed current identity in portfolio labels/links. Addon files/runtime behavior are not changed or tested. Verification: rename/source/artwork regression coverage, full tests, content validation, static build and generated page/link checks run before publication. No browser screenshot, VPS or DNS changes.
2026-10-31 — Import Action Emotes #1 final documentation baseline
Babuni.dev supplied: merged ActionEmotes-1 PR #1 and final commit e475a45108753c9eda8de1e774e2ba95058d65c0, requesting their revised documentation and outstanding BuxbreCharge.toc installation concern appear on the website. AI verification/execution: verify PR #1 is merged at that exact commit and publicly fetch all ten standard documents, replacing only this project’s snapshot. Its first-person history and documentation baseline now feed blooms/readable pages/readers; the prior proposed-rename wording is resolved by the new upstream README. Update verified activity metadata and add repository/review/commit links to the existing Project source module, explicitly stating that the historical filename remains unmodified and needs an installation check. Preserve stable project identity/artwork and all other repository snapshots. Verification: regression coverage, content validation, static build and all public page/link checks run before publication. No addon installation, in-game or filename change, browser screenshot, VPS or DNS action claimed.
2026-10-31 — Discovery and source continuity
- Nine keywords per retained project, three sampled without repetition per bubble exploration; all 24 WoW add-ons retain one explicit type cue.
- Preserve approved bubble timing/placement and unrelated-shift persistence.
- Record the author’s open-development decisions in actual project journals/decisions and import the three verified public source replacements.
- Replace Ethera’s documentation-only source after its actual repository becomes public and anonymous access is verified; licensing/media-rights decisions remain separate from public visibility.
Automated content checks, 37 test files, production build and 430 public-page checks passed. This entry does not claim new physical-device acceptance or completed media-license review.
2026-11-01 — GuildChatBridge source continuity
- Restore the author-requested GuildChatBridge project and import its ten revised public documents; retain its paused experimental status.
- Add author-supplied portal art when available.
Source inspection and portfolio verification do not verify addon installation, live 1.12 compatibility or an AI bridge.
2026-11-01 — Reliable Recently updated metadata
- Reuse authenticated local GitHub CLI access and pass CI’s build token explicitly.
- Block production builds on incomplete activity refresh instead of silently deploying stale markers.
- Cover credential handling, safe rate-limit diagnostics and all-or-nothing cache writes with regression tests.
Automatic server deployment remains separate; this update changes build validation, not live server files or deployment authorization.
2026-11-01 — GuildChatBridge artwork supplied
- Connect the author-supplied GuildChatBridge portal image. All 42 active projects now have mapped artwork; the earlier missing-art item is resolved.
2026-11-01 — StealthEmotes source rename
- Replace Amazin with StealthEmotes in the active portfolio and repository source, retaining stable identity and artwork.
Addon runtime filenames, version discrepancies and live-client verification remain upstream concerns, not resolved by a portfolio rename.
