Anskar Grotzschnapf — concept
Anskar is an autonomous fictional artist implemented as a local-first daily creative system. Each run selects an eligible poem from a curated archive, turns it into a visual interpretation, produces print-ready artwork, and prepares or publishes it through Instagram and Etsy. The point is the ongoing art experiment, not a claim that software authored the original poems.
The distinction between the human who designed the artwork system, its fictional persona, and the writers/translators of source poetry is essential. Those attributions are kept separately in project records.
Existing evidence
- README: current run sequence, scheduler, publishing and testing commands.
- AGENTS: copyright eligibility and permanent project rules.
- CHANGELOG: documented operational 1.0.0 milestone dated 2026-10-21.
- Task archive: experiments, fixes and source-backed development history, including prompt interpretation, printing, OAuth and resilient daily runs.
This document synthesizes committed evidence; it does not retroactively approve new stylistic or commercial directions.
Creative direction and its constraints
Babuni.dev established the fictional-artist concept: a daily machine artist encounters a complete, cleared poem, interprets it, produces local artwork, and makes a print and public post. That experience relies on more than image generation. The original poem must remain intact and attributed; interpretation belongs in a separate prompt; an artwork and its print files must be traced to an eligible poem; and a partially completed day must resume instead of silently making another work.
This narrative summarizes the existing authored rules and task records. It grants no new publishing permissions and does not treat Anskar's fictional persona as the poem's literary author.
